Prior to joining London Fischer, Ms. Hawkinson worked at a firm that litigated fraudulent insurance claims exclusively; and, prior to that she was an advocate for tenants living in housing that was subject to the Los Angeles Rent Stabilization Ordinance.
Before going to law school, Ms. Hawkinson worked as an Associate Project Manager for a major general contractor based out of New York City. She has also been a California State Licensed Broker. She is able to apply the practical knowledge she has gained from these areas to the legal principles she uses to defend contractors, subcontractors and real estate owners now.
Notable Achievements:
In October 2022, Ms. Hawkinson helped win a unanimous defense verdict from an Orange County jury, concluding the liability phase in a high stakes bifurcated trial involving traumatic spinal injury from premises liability.
In 2018, Ms. Hawkinson had a Petition for Writ of Mandate accepted for review by the 2nd Appellate District Court of Appeal. The Writ included two issues of abuse of discretion and one matter of first impression.
In 2014, 2015, and 2016, Ms. Hawkinson secured several six-figure awards in jury trials for her clients.
In 2013, Ms. Hawkinson helped secure a seven-figure award in a jury trial.
When not practicing law, Ms. Hawkinson enjoys spending time in the great outdoors. She is an accomplished downhill skier and an avid scuba diver that has earned a Dive Against Debris Specialty Certificate, which she uses to volunteer her time.
