Marissa A. Wong and Thomas A. Leghorn of London Fischer LLP obtained a summary judgment dismissal of an employment discrimination case in Supreme Court , New York County before Hon. Paul Goetz. The plaintiff claimed that her transfer to a lower paying position was the result of both age and race discrimination and not a valid business reason. In granting summary judgment, the Court agreed that plaintiff failed to submit any evidence, other than conjecture, that discrimination was a motivating factor in plaintiff’s employment rather than the valid business decision to outsource her prior role.
